- Chef de Partie required for Prestigious Manchester City Centre Hotel.
Chef de Partie
Manchester City Centre
£16 - £17K
Reporting to: Sous Chef
Responsible for: Junior Chefs
· To assist sous chef in the organisation and controlling of all kitchen operations
· To assist in the development of an innovative style relevant to The Place Hotel and promote the style in order to achieve recognition
· To ensure standards of product preparation and quality are adhered to on a consistent basis
· To ensure complete customer satisfaction, through provision and quality, control of food, hygiene and service adopting a customer focused approach at all times
· To communicate with front of house staff ensuring issues that occur during service are handled in a professional manner and discussed properly at the end of service
· Have a knowledge of and follow company and statutory health and safety, hygiene, security and emergency procedures
· To ensure the kitchen is always clean, tidy and hygienic
· To assist in the job training of junior chefs and/or apprentices
· To ensure that lights, electric, gas and water is not used unnecessarily
· To be able to control waste with good stock rotation, ordering and temperature control
· Any other duty deemed necessary by management
