- New Claims Handler - Cheadle
Salary upto £14,250 + Monthly Bonus of upto £160 per month- Responsibility for an Claims Handler is to answer all initial calls from customers through the lines and identifying what the customer requires from the call.
- Taking all the claim details over the phone and inputting information onto the computer system.
- Assessing liability once details are taken and then deciding what can be offered to the customer.
- Making outbound calls to obtain further information from third parties, witnesses, police and client’s own insurers.
- Once all information is obtained and the handler is happy liability will not be an issue they will then if needed arrange with the client a credit hire vehicle and offer credit repair where applicable.
- If all the above applies the handler will then pass the file out to solicitors to deal with the recovery of the customers uninsured losses.
- Where an immediate hire is not required the handler will then process the claim to be put in the pending hire diary and this will be chased on a regular basis by the pending hire department.
- When the claim does fit the credit repair criteria the handler will pass the claim to the credit repair department where the claim will the be asses thoroughly and once this department are happy with the claim a garage will be discussed with the client, the garage is chosen and file is then passed to the relevant department to be handled accordingly.
We are looking for candidates who are extremely organised with excellent customer service skills and good attention to detail.
